How to set up your TV

Three steps from the app store to live TV. Watch the walkthrough or follow along below; text us if a step gives you trouble.

  1. Step 1: Download the Purple Cow TV app

    Search "Purple Cow TV" in the app store on your Apple TV, Fire Stick, Google TV, phone or tablet and download it.

  2. Step 2: Log in with your credentials

    When you signed up for TV a username and password were texted to you. Need them again, or having trouble finding them? Shoot us a text and we will resend them.

  3. Step 3: Enjoy your TV

    Purple Cow TV has all the features, including recording live TV to the cloud, then pausing and replaying across all your devices.

Some common setup questions

I can not find the Purple Cow TV app.

Please make sure you are searching the app store on one of the approved devices below. A different device may be in a different app store where the app is not published yet.

How do I record shows?
To record shows you will need to add the DVR feature. Add DVR for $5 a month to record up to 50 hours of content that can be watched on any of your devices from any room. If you have just added the DVR feature and are not seeing it on your screen, log out of your TV account and back in.
Can I add other channels?
Yes, for sure. Single channels are $4 a month each, or any five for $15, on top of any package. If you want a channel we do not carry yet, let us know and we will see if we can get it for you.

Every channel we carry, with its number and which packages include it, is on the channel guide.
